Very interesting (for me), but my friend thinks it’s b.o.r.i.n.g 🙁
Year: 2008
I’m here
Well, I have arrived safely in Korea.
It’s good to see the old familiar sights again.
This picture is the view from my friends apartment where I am staying at the moment.
Holiday Day #1
Got to Melbourne Airport early and went through Customs and ticketing in a few minutes. I was really suprised.
I knew it was too good to be true.
Our flight to Hong Kong had engine problems, so it left an hour and a half late.
Result –> missed the connecting flight to Seoul from Hong Kong.
So rather then arrive in Seoul at 9:10 p.m KST, it will now be 4:20 a.m KST Saturday 🙁
June 2004 Riding in North Ulsan
View of North Ulsan near the airport. The suburb where I lived in is on the hill in the background.
The base of the mountain on which I was riding was about 12km from my home. To get to the top of the mountain, you had to climb 7km at inclines of up to 10% 🙁
This photo was taken about half way up.
This is the sort of terrain I will have to navigate in Korea during my cycle tour.

My new Bike Friday has arrived
On Friday, my Pocket Llama from Bike Friday arrived.
Once I get some better photos I will post them up on the blog.
I went to Cycle Science, the bike Friday dealer in Melbourne to collect the bike on Saturday.
I folded the bike and put it in the back seat of the car, but I forgot to put a blanket between the two parts of the folded frame … result: the Bike Friday logo is slightly scratched and there the top layer of the paint on that side (left) is scratched 🙁
All this before I even go for a big ride.
Today, Sunday I rode into the city.
Verdict: I love it, I expected to feel all the bumps with the small 20″ wheels on the bike, but nothing, it was OK.
My Bike Friday is on the way
Not long ago I said I wanted a new bike, well it’s nearly here now

Street Kings
Interesting seeing Hugh Laurie on TV when he isn’t “House, M.D”
Street Kings is not a bad film, but it isn’t L.A Confidential.
40th Birthday
This Sunday is my 40th Birthday. I am having dinner with my family at a nice Balinese restaurant in West Melbourne at 7pm
